New boys Ferrets got off to a winning start beating Granges. Gary Cowan got Granges off to a flying start winning the first 2 frames of the night, but Martin Hagan brought the game level with 2 of his own. Frames were shared after that and Granges then went in at the break 4-3 up. Ferrets captain Alan Stewart must have said something to his boys as they came out flying in the 2nd session to win 4 on the bounce. John Barrons and Chris McAlastair both winning 2/2. Paul Shannon won his 2nd frame of the night but it wasn't to be as Ferrets ran out 9-5 winners.

The Hasbeens showed their intent for the season scalping Tweedies. Patrick Mcanally, Alastair Wilson, Gary Nesson and Ryan Foster all won 2/2, Iain Britton chipped in with a single and along with the doubles they won 11-3.

Wayside hosted Parkview but they didn't get off to the start they had imagined as they were 1-0 and 2-1 down. Kyle Kirkwood got the ball rolling as they won the next 8 frames. Both Kyle and John McNeilly with 2/2. John McClean was heard shouting yippee ki yay in the Wayside Car Park after he won 1/1 for Parkview, Roy, Eddie and Ian all won a frame each to make it 10-4 to Wayside.
