Sport & Sound Cup Semi Finals Results Thursday 15th May

McConnells dreams of a Treble live on after they overcame Montys 8-1 in last nights Semi Final in the Grange Bar. With the Shane Curran Memorial cup already in the bag, two wins in their final league games will wrap up the league for the 3rd time for the Doagh men, although they face a tricky tie against Grinders before playing their last match at home to last years champions Wayside Inn, who they will face in the Final following their win against Grinders last night.
Wayside Inn were 4-3 down after the doubles before kicking on and wrapping up the next 5 frames to book their place in the Final. Both teams will be looking the win to guarantee their place at this years Champions of Champions being held at the Swift Bar, Carrickfergus on Sunday 29th June. Currently held by The Thatch from Larne who have qualified after winning their league, all league and knockout cup winners from all NIPA affiliated leagues attend to fight for the title of Northern Ireland's best team.
Sure to be a cracking final with two teams who between them have shared the league over the past 5 years, (Wayside Inn formerly Five Corners). Venue has yet to be confirmed. Good luck to both teams in the Final.

Montys 1-8 McConnells
Grinders 4-8 Wayside
